Mr Openshaw wanted to make his conservatory in to a year round usable space by replacing his conservatory roof with a tiled & insulated type, to retain the heat in the winter and keep it a constant temperature in the summer months.
We specified a charcoal Metrotile roof conversion and although you don't loose masses of light when converting your roof, the customer was a little worried about loss of light in to the kitchen, so we installed two small Velux windows.
The insulation in the Icotherm roof is 155mm thick and already the customer is noticing the difference. With this roof we also raised the pitch to create a more light and airy feel to the room.
